The Free Beacon reported: U.S. special operations analysts were analyzing a hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan, days before it was destroyed in an airstrike amid suspicions it was the site of a Pakistani operative helping the Taliban organize. It remains unknown whether the U.S. commanders who launched the airstrike knew the target was a hospital.

A good write-up on the Doctors Without Borders hospital airstrike, where the hospital didn’t fly recognized international medical colors and may have contributed to the airstrike. But, it also detailed how the hospital did not want to become a target of the Taliban for flying such flags or insignia.
