Donald Trump won both primaries in West Virginia and Nebraska because he is the lone candidate left standing, but Bernie Sanders beat Hillary Clinton in West Virginia in the Democratic Party primary.
Bernie won’t win the nomination, but the resistance among his supporters to back Hillary Clinton is another important narrative to keep track of heading into November.
As the campaigns turn to California, Bernie Sanders’ campaign is rumored to be making significant staffing cuts (numbering in the hundreds) as Hillary Clinton has pretty much wrapped up the nomination.
The New York Times said that this all-but-clinches the Democratic Party nomination for Hillary Clinton and pointed out that Hillary’s fundraising had struggled due to a viable opponent in Bernie Sanders.
