Thanks for the property damages, Black Lives Matter activists. By some estimates, the city of Baltimore suffered between $9 million to $20 million in damages after riots and looting devastated their downtown area. Ferguson, Missouri saw at least $5.7 million in damages. That amounts to property damages between $14.7 million to $25.7 million. No estimates, […]
Not a good result for prosecutor Marilyn Mosby. She went 0-for-6 in trying to get charges upheld in Freddie Gray’s injury and subsequent death in a Baltimore police transportation van. Gray’s death led to protests and riots that destroyed several businesses in Baltimore.
It’s unclear if the driver was charged, but the driver did sideswipe the squad car and stopped his car down the block. He blamed the smartphone video game upon exiting the vehicle and showing the police officers the smartphone game. Just glad that there were no fatalities or injuries.
The Baltimore police said that an “AR-style” gun was fired in the direction of police officers, but NBC News appears to be running with that to push the anti-AR-15 gun narrative. What is buried in the story is how the gunman may have tried to lure police officers by firing a gun to draw them […]
Looks like the state prosecution, led by Marilyn Mosby, didn’t convince the judge. The Baltimore Police van driver accused of giving a “rough ride” that killed Freddie Gray was acquitted of all charges Thursday by Circuit Judge Barry Williams. Officer Caesar Goodson Jr., 46, had faced the most serious charges of any of the six […]
From our friend Jeff Quinton at the Quinton Report: The book Freddie Gray, My Childhood Friend by Kitria Stewart is billed as “an illustrated storybook of memories that were shared with Freddie Gray growing up in Baltimore City.” The reviews of the book on Amazon.com have hovered around the 1-2 star range with a number of […]
Interesting how this will play out in court, along with Rice’s own court case related to Freddie Gray: Lt. Brian Rice sued State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby and Maj. Sam Cogen of the sheriff’s office for defamation of character, false imprisonment and violation of rights. Photo by mdfriendofhillary
Quite an interesting verdict: Baltimore Circuit Judge Barry Williams rejected the state’s case Monday against Officer Edward Nero, acquitting him on all counts for his role in the arrest of Freddie Gray. The verdict, which followed a five-day bench trial, is the first in the closely watched case. Nero, 30, had faced misdemeanor charges of […]
It’s an interesting finding, but one that won’t be broadcast on national news stations because it doesn’t fit the liberal narrative that police officers are racist. Note the following paragraph, which is the opening paragraph of the article: The conventional thinking about police-involved shootings, and some scientific research, has been that black suspects are more […]
But gun control was supposed to drive down crime rates, or something? Three major cities accounted for more than half of the rise in the national murder rate between 2014 and 2015, a new report shows. Though overall crime rates were stagnant in America’s 30 largest cities the murder rate rose 13.3 percent, according to a report […]
