Mr. Christopher Burnham
Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations
New York, NY 10017
Dear Mr. Burnham:
The failure of Secretary-General Annan to publicly release his financial disclosure form demonstrates that it is business as usual at the United Nations. This is the kind of cover-up that got the U.N. in trouble in the past. It makes no sense for you to trumpet the U.N.’s commitment to “ethics” when financial disclosure forms from top U.N. officials are not being released publicly. We urge you, as one of the top Americans at the world body, to seek the release of this information. The American people, who pay a large portion of the bills up there, have a right to know.
