Dear Mr. Clooney:

Your Edward R. Murrow film ignored Murrow’s friendship with a Soviet spy, Laurence Duggan. You should have done a movie about John Barron, a journalist who exposed the activities of the Soviet KGB. Your Murrow movie also ignored the fact that Annie Lee Moss, an alleged victim of McCarthy, was in fact a Communist Party member. Your “Syriana” movie ignores how radical environmentalists and your friends in Hollywood have put the U.S. in the position of dependency on Arab oil. You are a good actor and good filmmaker, but you are using your talents to confuse and mislead the public about important events. It’s time for you to reverse course.
