Dear Mr. Woodward:

Your identification of Deep Throat as former FBI official Mark Felt, who suffered a stroke and has dementia, reminds us of your “interview” of former CIA director Bill Casey when he couldn’t speak. We want you to know that many Americans don’t believe that the real story of Deep Throat has been told. We also think your version of Watergate leaves out a lot of important facts, such as John Dean’s behind-the-scenes role. We understand that the scandal has been a money-maker for you and that you are planning another book. This time, please deal with the aftermath of Watergate, including the Vietnamese boat people and killing fields of Cambodia.
