Dear Mr. O’Reilly:

You have opposed the death penalty for Saddam Hussein, arguing that he should get life in prison in exchange for “full disclosure” about his misdeeds. But what makes you think he will ever tell the truth? President Bush points out that he is a notorious liar. You should also take into account the fact that the Pan Am 103 bomber, Libyan Abdel Baset Ali Mihamed Al Megrahi, received “life in prison” for killing 270 people and may be out in 20 years. What’s more, the British press has evidence that life in prison for him means a luxurious five-room apartment. Rather than plead for the life of Saddam Hussein, you should highlight the country club prison accommodations for international killer al Megrahi and urge true justice in the Pan Am 103 case. Don’t forget that 189 Americans were killed by that mass murderer.
