Dear Mr. Raines:

Congratulations on your January 24 story noting that the January 18 rally against President Bush’s policy on Iraq was organized by members of the communist Workers World Party. While this information should have been published before the march, it is good that the facts finally made their way into print. We suggest that you pursue this story because there is a lot more that needs to be told. It turns out that WWP members have traveled to Baghdad, Havana, and Pyongyang. They have used front groups such as International ANSWER and the International Action Center to deceive many well-meaning and sincere people. The Times can continue to perform a public service by getting to the bottom of the organization's deceitful activities.
