Dear Mr. Bell:

The decision by Freedom Communications to order your member newspapers to run announcements of homosexual "unions" was a violation of the freedom that should have been left with your local publishers and editors. It was also an affront to common decency, morality and traditional marriage. Your decision pleased the folks at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), who specialize in the enforcement of political correctness in the media, but it disturbed and angered many members of the communities you claim to serve. Your credibility as an objective news source has been completely undermined by taking sides in the ongoing debate over "gay rights." Will you reconsider this decision and confess to your readers that it was done under political pressure from GLAAD to appease the homosexual rights movement?
