Mr. Alberto R. Gonzales
Counsel to the President
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20500

Dear Mr. Gonzales:

Itís been reported that you are threatening to withhold information from the commission investigating the 9/11 terrorist attacks. We find this extraordinary in view of CIA Director George Tenetís decision to provide highly classified information to Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward, author of Bush At War, designed to make Tenet look good. That book reported that Tenet had warned President Bush in advance of 9/11 of Osama bin Ladenís threat to U.S. security. Senator Bob Graham, a member of the Senate committee investigating 9/11 and current Democratic presidential candidate, reportedly has a ďsmoking pistolĒ that he intends to use against the President on this matter. The White House runs the risk of being accused of a cover-up if you donít cooperate fully with the 9/11 commission. We urge you to do so.
