Dear Ms. Tremonti:

It has been brought to our attention that, during an interview with Henry Kissinger, you suggested that American troops in Iraq-and Kissinger himself-could be prosecuted for war crimes by the International Criminal Court. Kissinger exposed your ignorance in his own case by noting that the ICC doesn't cover past actions that antedate the court. He then acted appropriately in hanging up the phone. But we want you to know that we regard your statements about our troops being subjected to prosecution for war crimes as grossly insulting. It's bad enough that the Canadian government didn't support our liberation of Iraq. But to suggest that our soldiers ought to be put on trial for eliminating an evil dictator and giving the Iraqi people a chance at freedom reflects an anti-American mindset that is truly shocking. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.
