Dear Mr. Westin:

Accuracy in Media has shown that your 9/11 anniversary program on the failure of Customs to intercept the depleted uranium ABC shipped to the U.S. did not prove that weapons-grade uranium would not have been stopped. It only fed the false fear that depleted uranium is dangerously radioactive, encouraging demands that the military quit using it as armor-piercing ammo.

Although 70 percent of our Senators and Congressmen voted for the resolution authorizing the President to use force against Iraq, the Media Research Center says that between Sept. 12 and Oct. 10, when the vote was taken, ABC's World News aired 7 sound bites by members of Congress opposed to the resolution and not one in favor of it. CBS had aired 6 on each side and NBC had aired 15 pro and 17 con. But 70 percent of the members of Congress voted for it. This can be seen as evidence of a pro-Arab bias at ABC News.
