Dear Mr. Graham:
I recently sent you a card commending Court TV for announcing that it would cover the trial of Jonathan and Reginald Carr for the murder of five people in Wichita, Kansas. I am very disappointed that you failed to do so. The claim that Court TV was unable to cover the trial because the time consumed in selecting the jury delayed the trial so long that its coverage would have conflicted with another trial you planned to cover does not ring true. What obliges Court TV to cancel its coverage of the Carr trial rather than the one that was scheduled to begin Oct. 21?
And if there was some good reason for that decision, Court TV could have covered at least the first week of the Carr trial. Is Court TV afraid to cover a bestial crime by two blacks for fear of being accused of making a politically incorrect decision? Your viewers deserve to see the evidence that minorities also commit hate crimes.
