WASHINGTON, July 13, 2011 – Accuracy in Media (AIM) will be leading grassroots media training sessions at the inaugural Grassroots-Campaign, Leadership & Activist Survival School hosted by the Waco Tea Party on August 13, 2011.
“The Waco Tea Party is excited to have Mr. Churchwell and Mr. Irvine from Accuracy in Media as instructors at our August 13th ‘Grassroots Survival School’” said Toby Walker, President of the Waco Tea Party. “With so many new organizers entering the trenches, it is imperative that they and other grassroots activists understand how to combat media bias — using the media to their advantage.”
Accuracy in Media will lead discussions focusing on media engagement, communication techniques, Web 2.0 tools and effective grassroots messaging for activists from all parts of Texas. Interested parties are encouraged to visit the event site for more information (https://www.wacoteaparty.org/).
