The Washington Post’s latest fact check defends Obamacare and Obama’s legacy against President Donald Trump’s anti-Obamacare rhetoric. Here are examples of the article’s defense of the health care law:
- Insurers didn’t flee and left Americans uninsured
- 2 million Americans did not drop out of the Obamacare exchanges
- Premiums are not soaring
However, it is known that insurers are fleeing insurance markets since there is uncertainty surrounding the health care law and whether it will be scaled back, repealed or fix. Also, premiums have soared from year to year, sometimes in double digits percentage-wise.
