Accuracy in Media

The Washington Post did not agree with President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement policies, where he promised on the campaign trail and once he took office to clamp down on illegal immigration and crimes committed by that segment of the population.

In a recent article, the Post took issue with Immigration, Customs and Enforcement on “slapping [handcuffs] on immigrants who thought they were safe.”

Pew Research Center published a summary of ICE’s statistics, which showed that almost three-fourths (74 percent) of arrests by ICE were immigrants with past criminal convictions, with the majority being drunk driving crimes.

Crime never pays, and it appears the Trump administration is clamping down on one of his campaign promises.
