President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Vanessa Trump (who is married to Donald Trump, Jr.), was hospitalized as a precaution after she opened an envelope with a white substance inside. Feared to be anthrax or another dangerous substance at first, she was decontaminated with two other people and sent to the hospital.
The media did cover the news of her being hospitalized, but the major outlets ignored the bigger picture of anti-Trumpism among some Americans, where it is becoming more vulgar in language and violent.
Another example of anti-Trumpism’s escalating rhetoric is how the Democratic Party claimed that tax reform legislation would lead to people’s deaths.
It is time the media give context to today’s escalating rhetoric.
