The New York Times published an article this week on rising crime and violence in the Scandinavian country of Sweden. Conservatives have claimed for some time that Sweden’s crime problems stem from its open borders and lax immigration policies, where the country hosts asylum-seekers from multiple countries.
In the article, the Times overlooked the underlying issue facing Sweden: migrants from Middle Eastern countries and the cultural change they have to undergo when moving to a Western society. Nowhere in the article was there any mention of the country’s Muslim migrant issue.
Previously, the Times claimed there was no migrant issue.
