Accuracy in Media

NBCUniversal owned Spanish language network Noticias Telemundo announced in a press release that effective immediately it is dropping the words “climate change” and “global warming” in favor of “climate emergency” when covering environmental. issues.

“The use of clear and accurate language in covering critical subjects such as the climate emergency is not merely an option for journalists; it is their duty,” said Luis Fernández, Telemundo’s Executive Vice President of Network News. “The scientific community and linguistics experts agree that the world is facing a ‘climate emergency.’ Terms such as ‘global warming’ and ‘climate change’ do not fully reflect this reality, and at Noticias Telemundo we are true to our commitment to tell things as they are.”

The liberal media has largely stopped using the term “global warming” after the dire predictions of Al Gore and other environmentalists failed to materialize and rebranded their movement under the “climate change” mantra.  Now as that is failing as well, they are changing tactics once again, but with an alarmist tone in “climate emergency” even in the face of evidence that says otherwise.
