Social Media Erupted after Photo of Kellyanne Conway Sitting on a Couch Upset People

How is sitting on a couch with your feet tucked under disrespectful? A photo went viral on the Internet, where Trump counselor Kellyanne Conway was caught sitting on an Oval Office couch with her feet on the couch. She was criticized for it and said that she meant no disrespect (quote from CBS News [1]):

Conway responded to the backlash on Tuesday, saying she “meant no disrespect.”

“I was asked to take a certain angle [photo] and was doing exactly that. I certainly meant no disrespect, I didn’t mean to have my feet on the couch,” Conway said in an interview on a special edition of FOX Business Network’s “Lou Dobbs Tonight.”

The real story is that President Donald Trump, an alleged racist by his detractors and critics, was able to fill the Oval Office with college presidents and officials from historically black colleges and universities (known as HBCUs). Yet, that story was buried in favor of Kellyanne Conway resting her feet on the couch in the Oval Office.

Oh, liberal media, no wonder Americans have a hard time trusting your stories.
