Since the Ferguson, Missouri protests/riots, two well-known protesters have passed away in mysterious circumstances. Neither were shot and killed by police officers, but were killed by a gun.
Darren Seals was found dead, shot to death in a burning car, in September 2016. Police ruled Seals’ death a homicide. Last week, Edward Crawford was shot and killed in a car and witnesses claimed it was suicide via self-inflicted gunshot wound in the back of a car.
Crawford became famous when he tossed back a tear gas canister during the protests and a photographer nabbed a photo of him dressed in an American flag shirt. He was charged with assault and for interfering with a police officer, due to his actions in the protest.
It’s tragic when someone loses their life, but this is an eery turn of events.
