Pro-Clinton reporters at the New York Times, Glenn Thrush and Maggie Haberman, railed against Trump during a live reaction thread to Trump’s press conference to announce his new Labor secretary nominee R. Alexander Acosta.
Thrush said, “The West Wing is not running like a fine-tuned machine, according to absolutely everybody not named Trump, Spicer, Bannon or Priebus.” Haberman opined the following:
“One thing, Glenn, that is really important to remember about Trump — he is his own best defender, and he knows it. I had been hearing, as had you, about how frustrated he has been about the hits he is taking. He doesn’t fully get that part of it comes with the job of being president. But he has been wanting for days to defend himself.”
Thrush and Haberman were outed as journalists who were collaborating with the Hillary Clinton campaign during the WikiLeaks e-mail dumps during the 2016 presidential campaign cycle.
