Criticism of President Donald Trump and GOP tax reform legislation proposals appears to be falling flat among the American people.
At first, a majority of Americans appeared to believe the media rhetoric about tax reform and disapproved of the tax reform legislation.
Two months into 2018, with the new tax law going into effect, Americans are supportive of the tax law, called the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
A poll by the New York Times reflected this change, where 51 percent of Americans said they approve of the tax law. It rose from 46 percent in January 2018 and 37 percent in December 2017, when the bill was passed into law.
