Even if holding a satirical cartoon event about Islam’s prophet Mohammed may not have been the smartest thing to do post-Charlie Hebdo terrorist attacks, it still is an expression of free speech. As the Washington Examiner editorial board noted, if we start suppressing free speech in the name of ‘it’s-too-offensive,’ then where do we stop?
