The media continues to bring up their painful memories of the 2016 presidential election cycle, where Hillary Clinton lost to underdog Republican candidate Donald Trump.
Several reporters were able to land book deals on their experiences on the campaign trail, and the latest book to come out is by New York Times reporter Amy Chozick.
Chozick’s book, “Chasing Hillary: Ten Years, Two Presidential Campaigns, and One Intact Glass Ceiling,” does not paint a pretty picture of Hillary Clinton.
In published excerpts from her book, Chozick describes how Clinton’s campaign treated her as an unserious reporter and one with an outsized ego, alongside how certain campaign staffers treated reporters and each other.
The reporter recalled how she cried after Trump was elected, having spent more than eight years covering Clinton and resenting Clinton’s apparent dislike of her reporting. She also said Clinton claimed she was unlikeable to Republicans and certain voters, “They’re never going to like me” and how “they” also stopped her from being elected.
