Like fracking? Are you from the state of New York? Well, after Governor Andrew Cuomo’s decision to ban it, looks like you’re out of luck.
The state of New York banned fracking, or hydraulic fracturing, which could cost New York taxpayers and their farmers in millions of revenue. And it’s not even tough earnings, since fracturing companies will lease New York residents’ land and will provide cheaper petroleum (i.e. gasoline). Governor Cuomo said it could be disastrous for the environment, which fracking activists say is a flawed argument from the start.
