Accuracy in Media

Katy Tur, who hosts a show on MSNBC and reports for NBC, interviewed Michael Wolff about his controversial book about the Trump administration, “Fire and Fury.”

The book has been exposed as mistake-ridden, with misattributed quotes, possibly fictitious quotes, and misspellings.

Wolff told Tur that he is not in the business of fact-checking and does not feel inclined to share his evidence.

Tur, in sending Wolff off the air at the end of the interview, said that the book “feels true” and “congratulations on the book, and congratulations on the president hating it.”

Facts are facts, and Katy Tur appears to excuse the questionable accuracy and factual issues that the book faces because it “feels true.”
