Accuracy in Media

With nearly three full cycles of media coverage in the aftermath of the terrible shooting in Tucson, we have seen it all. Both sides have successfully denied direct blame for the incident. Most Americans don’t buy that rhetoric of any kind caused the violence. Even The View rode to the defense of Sarah Palin. How can partisan media types keep the fire going? Not-so-slick editing could work. MSNBC’s Ed Schultz, not typically known for uttering enlightening statements, tried his hand at some audio editing at the expense of Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann (R-MN).

We do not expect hard-hitting journalism of any kind from the prime-time lineup over at MSNBC; but this is just sloppy. Better luck next time, Ed.
