MSNBC Comes to Jon Stewart’s Defense [Video]

Chris Wallace’s Fox News Sunday interview [1] with the host of The Comedy Channel’s “Daily Show,” Jon Stewart, has been causing quite a bit of buzz among cable TV news anchors. Stewart took quite a few jabs at Fox during the interview, and was discussed on “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell:”

The comments made by O’Donnell and Rachel Maddow in response to the Wallace-Stewart interview perfectly depict their arrogance and liberal bias.

Lawrence O’Donnell mistakenly claims that Wallace was comparing Fox news to Comedy Central. In fact, Wallace was trying to simply criticize Stewart’s network and the network’s legitimacy, just as Stewart had earlier done to Wallace. Jon Stewart thinks that he can criticize without receiving criticism. In any interview, when people question his work, he asserts that he is a comedian, not a commentator. Yet, he will be the first to make intense jabs at any news program that according to him is not balanced. He claims that he is a “perfect fit” on Comedy Central. This may be true, but that does not mean that he is immune to criticism, from news outlets or any other outlet.

O’Donnell comes off as particularly arrogant when he makes the comment that you could “smell the Fox news Kool-Aid through the screen.” Let us not forget whose making these comments. The anchors of MSNBC are staunchly liberal and pursue journalism from that specific angle. They tried to deny and defend the actions of Anthony Weiner, they dismiss Republican candidates, and they continue to coddle President Obama and h is failing policies, both foreign and domestic. Who here has really been drinking the Kool-Aid?  Fox or MSNBC?

Regardless of what was actually said, Stewart will no doubt be glorified as the winner of this encounter. As with his interview with Tucker Carlson on CNN’s “Crossfire,” the media will side with Stewart, one of their own, and glorify his mockery instead of facts.

This is the biased liberal media at its finest.
