More Fake News from CNN? Jim Acosta Cited Debunked Liberal Narrative on Intelligence Agencies’ Russia Assessment

Jim Acosta, a constant critic of the Trump administration, works as a CNN White House correspondent. He’s gone toe-to-toe with President Trump and White House staffers on several occasions, ranging from his confrontation with the President at a Trump Tower press conference [1] to his “[the] fix is in” [2] comment to this past week, where he cited [3] a debunked liberal media talking point.

Acosta said that it was “fake news” when President Trump said three or four intelligence agencies agreed on an assessment of Russia’s alleged meddling in the U.S. elections in 2016. Acosta said that seventeen agencies agreed on the assessment, reciting an old New York Times story.

However, Acosta apparently forgot that the New York Times corrected their story [4], where the media outlet said three or four intelligence agencies which agreed on the assessment of Russian government meddling, not seventeen.
