Accuracy in Media

Emma Gonzalez, a student activist from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, has been one of several students front-and-center of the gun control debate after the high school was victim to a mass shooter.

Gonzalez spoke at the pro-gun-control March for Our Lives rally in Washington, D.C., where multiple liberal and gun control advocacy groups had a presence, including Planned Parenthood and the Brady Campaign.

A recent image went viral on social media, where Gonzalez was allegedly tearing up a U.S. Constitution. However, that image was doctored, as it was a target poster from a gun range.

The Washington Post and CNN published articles debunking the image, which image was criticized by social media users.
