The nationwide “March for Our Lives” anti-gun-violence demonstration absorbed the mainstream media’s attention this weekend, where the main march took place at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
Other marches were held across the country, in cities such as Los Angeles, California, New York City, New York and Salt Lake City, Utah.
CNN, NBC News, ABC News and CBS News covered the march extensively, publishing multiple articles on the speeches given and highlighting involvement by professional athletes and musicians.
NBC News published 38 articles and videos, with headlines such as, “Hundreds of thousands participate in March for Our Lives,” “These kids aren’t kidding: the March For Our Lives hits streets worldwide,” and “Jennifer Hudson, gun violence victim, joins Parkland students for rally finale.”
CNN featured at least 23 articles and videos on the march, ABC News had more than 30 combined articles and videos. CBS News published a similar number of articles and videos.
What went ignored from the media coverage of the march was the amount of professional involvement by left-wing groups, such as the George Soros-backed Women’s March, Planned Parenthood and the Brady Campaign.
