Accuracy in Media

The media claim that the gun control “March for Our Lives” welcomed at least 850,000 protesters has been debunked by a company in northern Virginia.

The company, Digital Design & Imaging Service, estimated that there were 202,796 people at the rally.

The company specializes in crowd count analysis surveys by use of aerial photography and said that the range of attendants was between 172,376 and 233,215 people due to its 15 percent margin of error.

Still, 202,796 is far below the 850,000 estimate made by the media, which came from the march organizers.
