The liberal media, almost hell-bent on guaranteeing a Democratic Party win in Georgia’s 6th district, is convinced that the Democrats have made progress in their anti-Trump rhetoric.
Jon Ossoff, the Democratic candidate in the district, narrowly missed the 50% share of the vote to avoid a run-off (he garnered 48%) and to win the election outright against a number of GOP candidates who split their party’s vote.
Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin heralded this 48% as ground-breaking in her piece, while Slate parroted similar political rhetoric.
But, the Democrats and the liberal media believe that the $8 million for Ossoff was well-spent and that he could beat the lone GOP candidate, Karen Handel. How about an alternative theory to dispel the liberal media mindset: Maybe TheĀ GOP vote was fractured by the multiple candidates, but now that Handel was the highest vote earner, the party’s voters would logically unite to supportĀ Handel.
