After the Obama White House blasted Russia for allegedly hacking the election, outgoing President Barack Obama has commuted (i.e. reduced) the prison time of thirty-five years that Chelsea Manning was sentenced to serve. Manning had leaked several hundred confidential e-mails and information to WikiLeaks, which WikiLeaks published. We at AIM noted how Obama could commute the sentence this past weekend.
Does that sound hypocritical to you? Condemning an alleged election hack by Russia, then turn around and give a known hacker-leaker a shorter prison sentence for leaking secret government information?
