Fox News announced that they have hired former interim Democratic National Committee chairwoman Donna Brazile as a contributor as the network expands its coverage of the 2020 presidential campaign.
In addition to her DNC duties in 2016 Brazile was also a CNN political analyst in until it was revealed that she shared debate questions and topics with Hillary Clinton during the Democratic primary.
Brazile said in a Fox News opinion piece that she was excited about the opportunity to share her perspective and views with the Fox News audience but did not expect to agree with her fellow commentators.
“Will I agree with my fellow commentators at Fox News? Probably not. But I will listen,” she said.
“Will I question them if they make assertions about hard-working Americans, low-income people and issues like climate change that I disagree with? Absolutely. But I will do so with civility and respect. I will also freely admit the weaknesses in liberal arguments and the strength in conservative positions. And I welcome the opportunity to challenge many of the false assumptions about progressives, especially those newly elected to Congress.”
Given that the DNC has banned Fox News from hosting any debates, Brazile won’t have to worry about a repeat of her 2016 debate debacle.
