Former White House communications director Hope Hicks has been hired as the new chief communications officer at the “New Fox” starting in January.
The Walt Disney Company is buying most of 21st Century Fox, which includes their cable channels such as FX and the movie studio but excludes Fox News, Fox Sports, and their television stations.
Fox will move from New York to Los Angeles and will report to Viet Dinh, Fox chief legal and policy officer. Hicks succeeds Julie Henderson, who informed the company earlier this year that she would not be part of the new company.
Hicks was named White House communications director in August 2017 after a very brief stint by Anthony Scaramucci, who was fired after less than one week.
She resigned after just six months on the job in February 2018.
