Felons as Jurors? Could Be a Reality in Virginia after Felons’ Rights Restored

A prosecutor in Loudoun County, Jim Plowman, is concerned that ex-convicts could be serving [1] on juries sooner rather than later, which he said does victims a big disservice in the criminal justice system. He said that voting rights restoration could lead to ex-convicts being able to serve on juries in the near future.

The Democratic governor of the state, Terry MacAuliffe, won’t give up names of those who had their voting rights restored (by his executive order) to the Republican state legislature.
