Conservative and right-leaning media have reported on the 2013 dinner between Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and several Democratic politicians, including current DNC vice chairman Keith Ellison.
Ellison declared in his 2006 congressional race that he would split with the controversial leader, but this revelation alleges that he is cozy with Farrakhan as of 2015.
Farrakhan had made many inflammatory statements about Jews and other ethnicities in the past and has not renounced his views. Ellison told MSNBC in December 2016 that stories about his coziness with Farrakhan are a type of witch hunt. Now, it seems Ellison was not telling the whole truth.
The mainstream media did not report the story.
