President Donald Trump recently tweeted that the U.S. faces a $800 billion trade deficit. But his figure is incorrect.

A Daily Caller fact-check shows that the number is in the high-$500 billion range. The White House claimed the president was talking about a trade goods deficit, but even then, that figure ignores services and the resulting service deficit.
