Accuracy in Media

Mainstream media networks have covered news surrounding President Donald Trump and his alleged affair with adult film actress Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford.

The affair allegedly happened while Trump’s wife, Melania, was pregnant.

Clifford and her lawyer contend that the hush money payment she received, which amounted to $130,000, was not legally binding as Trump did not sign the agreement. Accordingly, she should be free to talk about the alleged affair.

CNN has consistently covered the story.

However, a recent poll illustrated that this new allegation is not as important to many Americans.

The poll, run by Quinnipiac, found that 23 percent of respondents felt that this piece of news is important. Also, 51 percent of Democrats and 81 percent of independents said they felt that the Stormy Daniels news is not important.
