Accuracy in Media

CNN did not appreciate President Donald Trump going right after the network, even though the network and other liberal media outlets ran with anti-Trump pundits during the 2016 election cycle and afterward.

Here’s the President’s tweet:

President Trump tweeted a photoshopped video of him at WWE’s WrestleMania, where he slammed a person (with a photoshopped CNN logo as the person’s head) to the ground. Anti-Trump critics claimed this tweet was an “incitement of violence” against the media.

CNN called the tweet “juvenile” and admitted that it’s one of the president’s most-shared and most-liked tweets, ever. CNN also issued the following statement:

“It is a sad day when the President of the United States encourages violence against reporters. Clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the President had never done so. Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, ?dealing with North Korea and working on his health care bill, he is involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office. We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his.”
