MSNBC’s Chris Matthews promoted the release of a video recorded by Omarosa Manigault-Newman via Twitter on Tuesday as potentially groundbreaking.
The recording turned out to be a short video of Donald Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen walking onto a plane.
“Omarosa says she has video tapes. She’s going to bring one to #Hardball tonight at 7.”

The video shows Cohen walking onto Trump’s plane in September 2016 during the last few weeks of the presidential campaign. Newman said the video proves Cohen was “very involved” in the campaign, which she said is contrary to what Trump has said.
Matthews also mentioned that Newman has an “extensive stash of videos” that she has yet to release.
Cohen pleaded guilty Tuesday to eight counts related to tax fraud, excessive campaign contributions, making false statements to a financial institution and unlawful corporate contributions at a court hearing in New York.
