The Center for Disease Control (CDC) cannot get their act together. Instead of giving a dead Ebola virus for observation by technicians in their Atlanta, Georgia headquarters, the CDC mistakenly sent a live sample to an ill-equipped lab.

Now the technician is being monitored for the next 21 days, which is the virus’s incubation period. Others who had contact with the technician are also being monitored.

More on the story from the New York Times can be found here.
