The Broward County Sheriff’s department has been embattled since news broke that the department did not order their deputies to engage the high school shooter several weeks ago, and were not the first law enforcement personnel to enter the high school to neutralize the shooters.

Head sheriff Scott Israel has been under fire for his claims his “amazing leadership” prevented worse things from happening.

The department now has its own fact-checking website to defend itself. However, the department is not releasing camera footage of their deputies’ response to the shooting.
