MSNBC anchor Brian Williams didn’t hide his disappointment with Attorney General William Barr calling him “Baghdad Bill Barr” after his press conference on the release of the Mueller report stating that Trump didn’t collude with Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The original “Baghdad Bob” was Saddam Hussein’s information minister Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf who lied to the public about the Iraq War.

“It would harken back to a conflict decades ago, we would not be surprised if some headline writer somewhere came up with Baghdad Bill Barr for what we saw today,” Williams said.

Williams then described the various ways Barr concluded that Mueller found “no collusion” as if Barr was hiding something from the public and painting him as a liar, he seemingly forgot his own recent past when he was caught lying in 2015 about being aboard a helicopter that was shot down in Iraq in 2003 which cost him his job as the NBC Nightly News anchor.

MSNBC has not commented on Williams’s hypocrisy.
