O’Reilly is trying to avoid the Brian Williams treatment, where Williams lied about his war story in Iraq and is now suspended from NBC News (and could be fired). Mother Jones, a left-wing publication, alleged O’Reilly lied about a story of covering a post-Falklands War coup attempt.
