Bernie Sanders has won the Democrats Abroad presidential primary, defeating Hillary Clinton 69 percent to 31 percent.

With the victory, the Vermont senator wins nine pledged delegates to Clinton’s four.

In total, roughly 34,570 registered Democrats living outside the United States participated, voting in person, by fax, email or mail,the Democratic National Committee announced Monday.
