WASHINGTON — Longtime allies, the U.S., South Korea, and Japan, will meet this week to discuss how to convince North Korea to give up their nuclear weapons program.

south korea us soldiersReuters reported that the U.S. State Department announced it last Thursday to the public, which summit will follow up on a previous meeting between the three nations in The Hague in late March.

North Korea warned of a “new form” of nuclear weapons testing, which has the longtime American allies worried about the North Koreans. They had test-launched two ballistic missiles during the previous summit.
