Accuracy in Media

WASHINGTON — Another “insider” attack, purportedly from an Afghan soldier, killed a two-star American general and wounded a German general. Over a dozen people were injured in the attack.

afghan soldierReuters reported that U.S. Major General Harold Greene was killed. He was the most senior U.S. military official killed overseas since the Vietnam War, the news outlet said. Greene was working with ISAF, which is the NATO-led military force in Afghanistan.

The attack took place at the Marshal Fahim National Defense University, which is a training center in the capital city of Kabul. The gunman was killed, using a light machine gun to kill Greene, wounding seven Americans, a couple Germans and five British soldiers. The Taliban uses insider attacks to prove they have successfully infiltrated the Afghan army and security forces.

This draws attention back to how insider attacks have killed NATO soldiers throughout the war in Afghanistan, which has drawn minimal coverage from the liberal mainstream media.

We at AIM extend our condolences to the families of those wounded in the shooting, as well as the friends and family of Major General Harold Greene.
